How Can a Doula Help?
One of the big reasons of hiring a Doula is not knowing the intensity of labour, most women are surprised by the intensity ultimately resulting in a negative experience. A Doula is helpful because she provides a calm, encouraging presence which can eliminate fear and assist with the management of pain. With the pressure off dads trying to fulfil the shoes of a Doula, dads tend to be more present and helpful to their partners resulting in a greater emotionally positive child birth experience.
